- Take a piece of foam tape from the kit and cut it in the centre.
- Wrap the foam tape around the fuse holder to prevent rattling.
- Connect the connector (1) that was removed from the 12V outlet to the female connector (2) on the routed cable.
- Wind the foam tape around the connectors.
- Connect the remaining connector to the 12V outlet.
Illustrations A and B
- Hook the rear end on the arm rest and route the cable so that all cable excess is at the front edge of the tunnel console.
- Position the connectors and fuse holders so that they do not come into conflict with the holder or become trapped by the rear end.
- Secure the fuse holder at the existing wiring so that it does not come loose.
- Tighten the two screws.
Applies to cars without centre loudspeaker grille
- Insert a piece of wire on the left-hand side by the air vent and pull it out down by the tunnel console's left-hand side.
- Tape the cable harness connector and a piece of the cable at the wire. Pull it upwards and out through the hole for the air vent.
Note! Route the cable harness so that there is no risk of wear.
- Route the cable from the holder and connect its connector to the routed cable harness connector.
- Position the entire cable harness underneath the air vent in such a way that it does not get trapped when the air vents are reinstalled.
- Secure the two green connectors using a piece of butyl tape in a suitable place to prevent rattling.
- Push a wire up along the left-hand side of the centre console and out on the left-hand side by the air vent.
- Insert the wire through the hole (1) in the recess, where the loudspeaker was, and out.
- Pull the cable up and out through the hole in the recess. Route the cable harness so that there is no risk of wear and that the ventilation vents are not blocked when they are to be reinstalled.
- Take out the short connection cable from the kit and connect to the newly routed cable harness.
- Secure the connected connectors at the bottom of the space where the loudspeaker was, using a piece of butyl tape.
- Connect the connector to the loudspeaker.
- Pull up the connected short cable through the hole in the loudspeaker bracket.
- Reinstall the loudspeaker with its screws.
- Take the loudspeaker grille with holder and connect the routed connector.
Note! Ensure the stud bolts fit in their holes before securing the grille.
- Insert the cable through the hole in the loudspeaker bracket.
- Carefully secure the loudspeaker grille with the holder in the loudspeaker bracket.
- Place all cable excess on top of the air ducts.
Applies to both right and left-hand drive vehicles
- Fold aside the floor mat on the left side of the center console.
- Disconnect the two connectors on the left-hand side of the gear selector assembly. Leave the male connectors in place.
- Take cable harness (A) from the kit. Connect the fiber-optic cable's connectors between those disconnected from the car's cable harness.
Note! Fibre-optic cables may not be bent with a radius less than 25 mm (1").
- Connect the two other connectors between the large connectors that were disconnected.
Applies to left-hand drive cars
- Insert the long fiber-optic cable (1) in front of the air duct and across the center console.
