Condition
The control module continually supplies necessary information from the Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN communication. The control module is continuously supplied with the necessary information from supplemental restraint system (SRS) via Central electronic module (CEM) via CAN-communication.
The control module checks the communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
Alternative 1
- No communication with the Central electronic module (CEM).
Alternative 2
- Incorrect or no communication with the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
