Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information TCM-P273800
Condition
Linear pressure solenoid SLC1 controls system pressure in the transmission. The solenoid is controlled by power stages at the output of the transmission control module (TCM). The control module uses the power stage to control the current to the solenoid. A low amperage results in a high line pressure. A high amperage (approximately 1A) results in a low line pressure. The amperage is primarily affected by the throttle position.
The diagnostic trouble code is stored if the control module detects:
- An open circuit in solenoid SLC1 circuit.
Then Solenoid SLC1 cannot control the system pressure.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Shifting when linear pressure solenoid SLC1 is activated.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.
Hint: Emergency mode in the event of a fault Emergency Mode In Case Of Malfunction
Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Open-circuit in the cable for the control signal or signal ground.
- Linear pressure solenoid SLC1 not working.
- The transmission control module (TCM) does not function.
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL), on
- Rough gear shift
- No gear shift
- Automatic transmission/Lockup does not work
- Text window and warning symbol/Yellow symbol and text message
- Warning lights and chimes/Malfunction Indicator Light ("Check engine" light) indication/no indication
