Erasing diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
Hint: The transmission control module (TCM) has registered an internal fault.
The fault may intermittent and is why the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) must be erased and read off again.
Note! In the event of erasing, all stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) with corresponding information disappear.If there are other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for Transmission control module (TCM), these must be fault-traced first.If necessary, go to Vehicle communication and read out "Extended diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information"
- Ignition on.
- Erase the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.

Reading off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- Ignition off.
- Wait for two minutes so that the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored in the memory of the transmission control module (TCM).
- Ignition on.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.
Are the diagnostic trouble code (DTCs) still stored?
Yes - Replacing the control module and programming
No - DONE

Replacing the control module and programming
The transmission control module (TCM) has registered an internal fault.
Replace control module.
Caution! A new control module is delivered without software.For the transmission control module (TCM) to work after replacement, it must be programmed.
