Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B1C5514
Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) checks the horn.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal on the drive circuit to the relay for the horn is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- The function switches off permanently after 100 operating cycles where the fault was detected. Erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) resets the result.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the relay driver circuit.
- Open-circuit in signal cable to the relay driver circuit.
- Damaged relay (short-circuit in the relay coil).
Fault symptom[s]
- Horn fails to operate
