Condition
At activation of the alarm function, the Central electronic module (CEM) checks the function of included components in the alarm system.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No communication has been received from the heart beat sensor for 5 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activation of the alarm function.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the voltage feed to the heart beat sensor.
- Open-circuit in the ground lead to the heart beat sensor.
- Open-circuit in the signal cable.
