INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text






Navigation system, portable, Installation kit TMC

Applies to cars with portable Navigation system installed
For cars where Navigation system portable and Navigation system, portable, Installation kit TMC kit are all installed proceed as follows:
First carry out points 1-34 and 36-53 in the Navigation system portable installation instructions Then carry out points 18-40 in this instruction
Work is carried out the same way on left-hand drive cars as on right-hand drive cars (mirror image). Left-hand drive car shown. In cases where there are differences between left and right-hand drive cars, both versions are shown.





- Turn the ignition key to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.





- Remove the Garmin unit.
- Disconnect the antenna cable on the reverse





- Remove the panel with the air vent.





- Remove the connectors for:
Hazard warning flasher
The holder for the Garmin unit.





- Cut off the tie strap.





- Pull the green connectors apart.
The cable (1) will not be used again, new in the kit.

Points 8-17 mirror image for right hand drive cars





















- Remove the screws and the panel.





- Unplug the lighting connector and move the panel aside.





- Remove the two screws.





- Carefully pry off the glovebox lighting.





- Loosen the connector from the lamp in the glovebox lighting, it may be tight.





- Remove the six screws.
- If necessary remove the connector for the SIM card holder.
- Pull the glove box one position so that the clips release.
- Remove the glovebox.





- Take the adapter cable from the kit and connect it to the remaining cable with a green connector.





- Take the TMC unit from the kit and connect the green connector to the corresponding one in the newly connected adapter cable.





- Connect the long antenna cable to IN in the TMC unit.

Points 21-33 mirror image for right hand drive cars
- Place the TMC unit in the space above the air ducts.
- Route the antenna cable to the right and on the inside of the rear edge of the dashboard. The cable is routed the same way as the existing antenna cable for the Garmin unit, to the hole in the end of the dashboard.
- Secure with pieces of butyl tape.









- Continue to route the cable along the inside of the dashboard, up on the outside of the right air duct and out through the opening in the upper side of the dashboard where the A pillar panel was.
- Secure with pieces of butyl tape, also on the right-hand side of the air duct.

- Pull the cable forward.
- Take the A pillar panel and secure the cable along the inside using butyl tape in approximately the position shown. Adapt the cable so that A-pillar panel can be put back without any difficulties. Ensure that the cable is placed so that it does not interfere with the panel's guides (1) in the dashboard.
- Route the cable along the inside of the A-pillar panel and install it for its entire length using butyl tape.





















- Take the glovebox and connect the connector to the Sim card holder, if necessary.
- Insert the connector to the glovebox lighting.






























- Take the foam tape from the kit and wrap the ferrite on the adapter cable.





- Wrap the four green connectors together with foam tape.





- Wrap the thick cable for the TMC unit and wrap everything with foam tape.

Note! Take care not to damage the thin antenna cable.





- Clamp the foam covered TMC unit around the existing cable harness.





- Plug the connectors into:
Hazard warning flasher
Holder for receiver.





- Press the panel into place. Ensure that the cables do not end up in the middle of the air vent.

- Take the Garmin unit, connect the antenna and align the guide holes in the bottom with the corresponding lugs in the holder.
- Fold it forward to the stop and check that it springs up and locks in the hook on the reverse.
