Collision Sensor B- And C-Pillar






Collision sensor B- and C-pillar

Preparatory work (the same for both methods)

Disconnecting the battery lead




Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative cable. See: Battery disconnecting and connecting Battery Disconnecting and Connecting.

Method content

This method consists of:
- Collision sensor B-post, replacing
- Collision sensor C-post, replacing.

Collision sensor B-post, replacing

Removing the collision sensor B-post





Remove:
- the B-post panel. See: B-pillar trim panel B-Pillar Trim Panel
- the connector.

Note! Do not pull on the cable harness.

Remove:
- the 2 screws
- the collision sensor.

Installing the collision sensor in the B-post

Install:
- the collision sensor
- the 2 M5 screws. Tighten.
- the connector
- the B-post panel. B-pillar trim panel B-Pillar Trim Panel.

Collision sensor C-post, replacing

Removing the collision sensor from the C-post





Remove:
- the side cushion. See: Side pad Side Pad
- the lower part of the panel on the C-post. See: C-pillar trim panel C-Pillar Trim Panel.

Note! Do not pull on the cable harness.

Slacken off the 2 screws.
Remove the collision sensor.

Installing the collision sensor in the C-post

Install:
- the collision sensor
- the 2 M5 screws. Tighten.
- the connector
- the lower part of the panel on the C-post. See: C-pillar trim panel C-Pillar Trim Panel
- the side cushion. See: Side pad Side Pad.
