INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text section.

Preparations




- Turn the ignition key to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.




- Carefully pry off the handle using a weatherstrip tool. Start on one side.

- Carefully pry off the panel at the front edge of the side window.
- Remove the two screws holding the door panel.
- Carefully pull off the door panel. It is secured by surrounding clips.

- Detach the wire from the opening handle and disconnect the connectors.




- Remove the nut, disconnect the connector and remove the mirror.




- Carefully pry off the mirror glass.




- Carefully disconnect the two cables from the mirror glass. The glass will be reused.




- Press the mirror cover out using a small screwdriver. The cover is to be reused.




- Remove the screw holding the mirror motor.




- Detach the motor by carefully prying up the catches at the side and underneath using a small screwdriver.
- Unhook the motor from the remaining catches and disconnect the connector. The motor is to be reused.




- Carefully detach the indicator lamp from the mirror housing. It is secured by surrounding catches.




- Detach the socket with the bulb from the indicator lamp. The indicator lamp is to be reused.

Installation




- Take a new mirror housing, bulb and lamp lens for ground lighting from the kit.
- Take out the cable with bulb holder from the mirror. Press a bulb into the holder.




- Install the socket with bulb into the lamp lens.




- Install the ground lighting in the mirror housing.




- Press the socket with the bulb into the indicator lamp.




- Reinstall the indicator lamp in the mirror housing.




- Connect the connector and install the mirror motor in the mirror housing. Ensure that all catches engage.




- Install the screw to the mirror motor and tighten.

- Press the old cover into the mirror housing. Press all the way around so that all catches engage.




- Connect the wiring to the old mirror glass.
- Ensure that the white damper blades align in their grooves.
- Press the mirror glass into place.




- Install the new mirror.

- Check that the clips around the panel are intact and correctly positioned, they are detachable.
- Connect the connectors and the wire to the opening handle.
- Align the clips in the holes in the door frame carefully and press securely.
- Tighten the panel using the two screws, tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 lbf.ft.)
- Secure the panel at the front edge of the side window.

- First secure the front edge of the handle.

- Then hold the handle and press on both sides.
