TV-receiver, digital
Note! When installing Digital TV-receiver on car with existing RSE-system, start by changing the cable harness for the tunnel console. See installation instructions Multimedia monitor with DVD, Dual screen.
- Remove the right front seat mounting's panel of the second row's right seat by pressing down the pawl (1) on top and pulling it forward. Remove the screw underneath.
- Remove the panel for the front seat mountings of the second row's right seat/centre seat by pressing down the pawls (1) on top and pulling the panel forward. Remove the screw for the right seat.
- Fold down the backrest.
- Remove the seat links and bolts.
- Lift out the seat.
Note! This step should be performed carefully to avoid damaging interior or door panel.
- Carefully pry loose and remove the panel located over the joint between the door sills on the right side.
- Loosen the upper part of the sill moulding at the rear edge and loosen the seat belt from the end-fitting. The belt is loosened by carefully pressing with a weatherstrip tool on the lock lug so that it releases from the end-fitting.
- Pull the sill protection upward until the three clips release. Angle out the sill protection from the B-pillar panel.
- Insert a screwdriver through the hole (1) on the right seat's left rear seat link and press in the pawl. Move the link backwards by prying with a screwdriver between the seat rail and the link.
- Remove the rear roof panel covers and the screws beneath them.
- Carefully pry away the panel at the rear edge with a plastic weatherstrip tool.
- Pull the rear edge of the panel downwards until the four clips on the top have released.
- Unplug the connector for the lighting.
- Pull the panel backwards to release it.
- Pull loose the rubber strip at the trailing edge of the left door opening, directly opposite the C-pillar panel.
- Carefully pry off the left C-post panel by the sides at the top with a plastic weatherstrip tool. Then pull until the three clips on the inside release. Do not damage the headlining or the panel.
- If a headphone socket is mounted, disconnect the connector to such.
- Remove the panel by pulling upwards slightly and unhooking it from the side panel.
- Carefully loosen the pillar panel. Start at the top and continue downwards until the three clips on the inside have released.
- Remove the connector on the D-pillar panel. Cars with D-pillar speakers have the connector located on the speaker.
- Remove the panel by pulling upwards slightly and unhooking it from the side panel.
Applies to cars with two rows of seats
- Open up the floor hatch (1). If the floor hatch is equipped with a grocery bag holder on the underside, then it is fastened with a strap on both sides of the storage box. Then these shall be loosened by first removing the storage box under the floor hatch and then removing the floor hatch by almost closing it and pulling it backwards out of its attachments.
Applies to cars with three rows of seats and integrated carrier bag holder on the underside of the floor hatch.
- Fold up the floor hatch (1).
- Loosen the two straps on the underlying panel. Lift up the trailing edge of the panel, fold the floor hatch back towards the panel and lift out the floor hatch and panel.
Applies to cars with three rows of seats without an integrated carrier bag holder.
- Open the floor hatch (1) at the trailing edge and lift it out.
- Remove the three screws on the battery holder and lift it out.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Remove both covers on the floor.
- Remove both panels.
- Fold out the load lashing eye on the right side.
- Take a scriber or special tool part no.9995919 and insert the angled point in the hole in the top edge of the cover.
- Twist the scriber so it grips the rear of the cover (1) and pull it loose. This should be performed on both the front and rear load lashing eyes.
Applies to cars with two rows of seats
- Remove the screws (2) on the load securing eyelets.
- Remove the cover (3), by prying off using a weatherstrip tool or a small screw driver.
- Remove the screws (4).
- Remove the panel by pulling it out slightly at the top edge so that the clips on the inside release. Then pull it straight up.
- Unplug the connector for the 12V socket.
Applies to cars with three rows of seats
- Fold up the left-hand seat in the third row of seats.
- Remove the screws (2) on the load securing eyelets.
- Remove the covers (3) by prying with a weatherstrip tool or a small screwdriver.
- Remove the screws (4).
- Remove the panel by pulling it out slightly at the top edge so that the clips on the inside release. Then pull it straight up.
- Unplug the connector for the 12V socket.
- Remove the two clips.
- Install plastic nuts in the holes where the clips were located, as shown.
Note! Turn the plastic nut so that it faces the right way.
- Remove the cover panel under the tail lamps on the right and left sides by carefully prying them loose using a weatherstrip tool.
- Loosen the rear fog light at the front with a weatherstrip tool. Done on both sides.
- Remove the tail light by removing the two nuts and pulling them back. Done on both sides.
- Take antenna and holder from the kit.
- Place the antenna in the casing and the cable in the slot.
- Snap together the casing's top and bottom parts. Done twice.
- Install the holders on the casing.
- Repeat the on the other casing.
- Get antenna for left side (long cable) and unplug the grey connector.
- Insert casing with antenna in the outlet for fog lights.
- Press on the casing's holder on the plastic flange at the bottom edge of the plastic console.
- Route the cable up through the bumper so that it comes out at the top of the plastic console.
- Remove the top part of the foam tape that covers the hole.
- Get the rubber bushing from the kit and open it up with expander pliers.
- Insert the antenna cable. Route the cable so that the length of the cable between the bushing and the top of the plastic console is 250 mm.
- Install a strip clamp around the collar on the rubber bushing so that it closes tightly around the cable.
- Cut off excess strip clamp.
- Insert the antenna cable through the hole in the body so that it comes out in the passenger compartment.
- Check that the rubber bushing's flanges close tight against the body hole.
- Install the strip clamp on the sheet metal flange.
- Clamp down the antenna cable in the clamp.
- Cut off any excess strip clamp.
- Carry out on both sides.
- Connect the removed antenna cable.
- Insert a strip clamp though the connector.
- Carry out on both sides.
- Clamp down the connector in existing cable harness (1).
- Clamp down the cable in existing cable harness with the strip clamp (2).
- Carry out on both sides.
- Route the antenna cable along existing cable harness over to the right side through the hole in the polystyrene plastic under the right member.
- Fasten the cable with strip clamps.
- Get TV-tuner, console, as well as four screws from the kit.
- Tighten down the tuner on the console.
- Take the cable harness from the kit.
- Plug in the connectors in the order as shown.
Note! Tighten the nuts on the antenna cables' contacts as much as possible with your fingers while the black part of the contact is held down. Then tighten the nuts (3) one complete turn with a wrench.
- Install fuse holders in the holes on the inside of the console.
- Fasten the console with screws from the kit.
Note! Cut away a piece of insulation for the lower attachment.
- Install the strip clamp on the tuner's sheet metal flange.
- Clamp down the antenna cables.
- Install the strip clamp on the tuner's sheet metal flange.
- Clamp down the cable harness.
- Fold aside the noise absorbent so that the sheet metal flange is visible.
- Install the strip clamp on the sheet metal flange.
- Clamp down both cables (1).
- Fold back the noise absorbent.
- Clamp down both antenna cables and excess cable in existing cable harness.
- Route the cable harness along the wheel housing down to the belt anchor.
- Fasten with strip clamps.
- Fasten the cable harness in the belt anchor with strip clamp.
- Fold up the floor mat.
- Place the cable harness between polystyrene plastic and body under the floor mat so that it runs along the floor sides on to the tunnel.
- Make sure that the yellow marking on the cable harness is placed on the cable harness by the mat's edge at the tunnel.
- Install the strip clamp on the sheet metal flange.
- Fasten the cable harness.
- Install the strip clamp around the cable harness by the yellow marking and press to fasten the clamp on the parking brake console's flange.
- Get the side panel.
- Cut away the strip clamp and remove the cover.
- Remove the belt holder and rough up the fabric where the holder has been installed.
- Remove the rear cup holder.

- Measure and mark out on the inside of the side panel as shown.
- Saw according to markings.
- File down the edges.
- Saw by the side panel's rear cup holder as shown.
- File down the edges.
- Take the casing from the kit.
- Mark out the middle on the three flanges with a scribe.
- Drill using a 3.5 mm bit.
- Fasten tape as shown.
- Temporarily install the casing.
- Mark the casing's three drilled holes on the tape.
- Remove the cover.
- Punch holes in the markings and through the panel with an awl or scribe. Remove the tape.
- Drill holes using a 7 mm bit.
- Install the casing. Check from the rear that the four catches have engaged.
- Loosen the insulation at the top and on the sides.
Note! The insulation shall be left in place at the bottom.
- Tighten down the casing with three screws PF5x14 and three washers.
- Fold back the insulation and fasten it with three pieces of tape.
- Reinstall the side panel.
- Reinstall removed parts in reverse order. Tightening torque seat screws 40 Nm and load lashing eyes 25 Nm.
- Continue according to installation instruction Multimedia monitor with DVD, Dual Screen.
