Removal
Preparatory work
Remove the drive shaft. Refer to: Drive shaft right Driveshaft Right.
Removing differential seals
Position a container underneath the transmission.

Lubricate the puller's guide pin with a little grease.
Use a ratchet wrench with extension and socket, press in the puller against the seal at the same time as the puller is rotated.
Tighten so that the threaded cone screws firmly into the seal.
- Remove the puller's cap nut.
- Install the puller's bracket and nut.
- Remove the seal.
- Check that no seal residue is left.
Lubricate the edges of the new seal using automatic transmission fluid.

Install the seal to the locating pin.999 5771 Drift 999 5771 Drift.
Tap in the seal until the drift is against the transmission.
Remove the locating pin.
Install the drive shaft. Refer to: Drive shaft right Driveshaft Right.
Check the oil level. Refer to: Transmission oil level - checking Checking Oil Level.
