DESCRIPTION:

All S80 starting from chassis no 100327 and XC70 starting chassis no. 060491 will have HD radio as standard. Unfortunately, an incorrect SW package has been loaded at the factory if the car also has the SIRIUS preparation option. This error only occurred during the first several weeks of production.

SYMPTOMS:

^ Poor AM FM radio reception and/or distorted audio on AM and FM functions





^ The menu option for HD radio (illustrated below) will not be available in the main FM menu.

^ The icon for HD radio (illustrated below) will not be visible in the lower left corner of the ICM (Infotainment Control Module) display when AM or FM source is selected.


SERVICE:

After confirming vehicle eligibility, please order and download software 31288493 as part of the CPS (Customer preparation Service).
