Alcohol lock

Note! Some steps in these installation instructions are presented with illustration only.

- Activate (and calibrate) the alcohol lock according to the description in the Technical Journal in TIE. Relevant journal is TJ 19265 "Alcoguard, calibration and activation software, AWARD v.6.x.x". The necessary software can also be found there.
- After installing the software on a PC according to the TJ, connect the alcohol lock to the PC using the supplied communication cable. A question asking whether to activate appears automatically (if the lock is not activated), otherwise nothing special happens.

- Turn the ignition switch to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.

- Remove the tunnel console's right-hand side panel by carefully pulling it away starting at the rear edge. It is secured with five clips on the inside.

- Remove the two screws from the reverse of the center console.

- Route the cable on the right-hand side of the tunnel console. If it is difficult to route, bend a thin piece of wire and insert it to route the cable through (Image B).

- Tighten the cradle using the existing screws.

- Tighten the cradle's left end using self-tapping screws from the kit.

- Place the loose end on the cover's spring in the corresponding lug in the cradle.
- Press the cover over the screw so that the spring engages in the cradle's lug.

- Press the handheld unit in the holder.

- Remove the bolts of the panel underneath the glovebox and remove it.

- Take the cable harness from the kit. Route it in front of the carpet and behind the strut for the center console.
- Connect both the connectors for the cable harnesses to each other.

- Connect the glovebox lighting's green male connector (1) to the female connector (2) in the routed adapter cable.
- Connect the remaining male connector (3) in the adapter cable to the glovebox lighting's green female connector.
- Hide the excess cable inside the carpet.

- Pull the excess of the black cable into the glovebox, roll up and secure it using the Velcro strip.
