DESCRIPTION:
The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may be illuminated and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for misfire detection and fuel vapor leak detection may be posted.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
An improved calibration is available as a service software for vehicles built up to structure week 2010w19. See chassis ranges above.
SERVICE:
First fault trace the DTCs according to VIDA. If no other faults are found perform an Engine Control Module (ECM) Upgrade according to VIDA. It is important to note that this software will not remedy actual misifres. It is only correcting false detections. If a misfire / rough idle / long cranking exists fault tracing for the symptom must be followed in order to remedy the fault before the ECM Upgrade is performed.
