Removal

Remove the following items:
- battery. Removal and Replacement
- air cleaner housing. Service and Repair
Slacken the tensioner using a 19 mm fixed wrench. Lock the tensioner in the slackened position using a 3 mm pin.
When removing: Push out the pins from the belt pulley.
Turn the power steering pump upwards, backwards.
Carefully lift away the AC-compressor without loosening the pipe connections.
Installation
Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Make sure that the coupling's spring (2) clicks in position at the bonded part of the water pump (1) and that the pins (3) enter the holes on the pulley.
Always use new guide pin (4) when installing the power steering pump.
To facilitate fitting of the water pump coupling in the power steering pump's belt pulley, turn the coupling until the spikes are in the 8 o'clock and 2 o'clock position as illustrated. Make sure that the pins stick out through the holes on the belt pulley.
Install the following items:
1. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
2. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
3. Torque: M5, 5 Nm
4. Torque: Pressure line to power steering pump, 30 Nm
Use a 19 mm wrench to relieve the tensioner. Remove the pin.
Install the following items:
1. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
2. Torque: M10, 50 Nm
Install the following items:
1. Torque: M6, 10 Nm
2. Torque: M8, 24 Nm
Torque: M6, 10 Nm
Torque: M5, 5 Nm
Install the following items:
- air cleaner housing. Service and Repair
- battery. Removal and Replacement
