Fog lamps
INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text section.
Fog lamps
Applies to the V70
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
- Remove the left-hand cover panel under left-hand headlamp by carefully prizing loose the right-hand end face until the four clips on the inside release. Then unhook the left-hand end from the bumper shell.
Note! Do not damage the paintwork.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Take a fog lamp and screw from the kit.
- Connect the fog lamp to the pre-routed cable on the inside of the bumper shell.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.

- Insert the two pins on the right side of the fog lamp in the recesses in the bumper shell.

- Position the fog lamp retaining lug over the screw hole on the left side of the bumper shell and insert the screw.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
Applies to the XC70
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.

- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Take a fog lamp and screw from the kit.
- Connect the fog lamp to the pre-routed cable on the inside of the bumper shell.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.

Applies to the V70 and the XC70
- Remove the left end of the dashboard by carefully prying it with a headlining tool until the two catches release. Pull the end panel off rearwards.
- Press the lighting keypad out of the dashboard. It is held in place with two locking tabs on the top side and two on the underside. Use a headliner tool as necessary.
Note! Be careful with the dashboard as it may be difficult to remove the keypad.
- Unplug the connector from the keypad. Remove the connector. It will not be used again.
- Plug in the connector of the new keypad from the kit.
- Press the keypad into place in the dashboard.
- Program the software in accordance with the service information in VIDA.
- Reinstall the dashboard end face panel.
Applies to the V70
- Check the fog lamp's setting. Adjust as necessary using the adjuster screw.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Take a new panel from the kit and press it into place (instead of the old one).
- Make sure that all retaining hooks engage.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
Applies to the XC70
- Check the fog lamp's setting. Adjust as necessary using the adjuster screw.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Take a new panel from the kit and press it into place (instead of the old one).
- Make sure that all retaining hooks engage.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
