Blower Motor: Service and Repair






Blower motor passenger compartment

Removal

Activate recirculation.

Remove the driver information module. Refer to: Combined instrument panel Combined Instrument Panel





















Remove the control module for the relay box in the passenger compartment. Refer to: Control module relay box passenger compartment Control Module Relay Box Passenger Compartment








Torque: M8, 24 Nm

1. Guide
2. Handle




Install the guide until it reaches the bottom and tighten the mounting screw.




Press the handle over the guide with the marking upwards, vertically until it reaches the bottom of the guide.
Tighten the mounting screw.




Turn the entire tool with the handle approximately 10° counter clockwise until the fan motor detaches and pull out the fan motor with the same tool.

Installation




Install the tool's guide and handle without moving the fan wheel so that it bottoms and tighten the mounting screws. Ensure that the tool is vertically positioned against the upper rubber mounting, as reference before mounting.

Install the tool with fan motor approximately 10° counter clockwise from the vertical position.




Turn the entire tool with the handle clockwise to the vertical position, until the fan motor is secure.
Slacken off and remove the mounting screw on the handle.




Slacken off and remove the mounting screw on the guide.

To install, reverse the removal procedure

Test the fan motor.
