Description of Frozen Values, CPM

Description of frozen values

Explanation
Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code is generated. Not all parameters can be read out for all diagnostic trouble codes. The parameter values can only be read if they can provide additional information on the prevailing conditions when the code was generated.

Total distance, value
The value indicates the total distance the vehicle had travelled when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Measurement range: 0-1,000,000 km.

MECU power supply, value
The value indicates the power supply to the central electronic module (CEM) when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Measurement range: 0 V and up.

Outside temperature, value
The value indicates the outside temperature in Celsius when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Measurement range: -40 to +215 °C.

Passenger compartment temperature, value
The value indicates the passenger compartment temperature in Celsius when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Measurement range: -40 to +215 °C.

Engine running, status
The value indicates whether the engine was running when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Values:
Yes = Engine running.
No = Engine switched off.

Engine started, status
The value indicates the engine had started when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Values:
Yes = Engine started.
No = Engine not started.

Power supply mode, status
The value indicates status of the power supply mode when the diagnostic trouble code was generated. The combustion preheater module (CPM) receives the value from the central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network.
Values:
Key out.
Key recently removed.
Key approved.
Ignition off after Accessory position.
Accessory position.
Ignition on.
Accessory position after Ignition on.
Running.
Start attempt.

Burn time (hours), Burn time (minutes), Running time (hours), Running time (minutes), value
The value indicates how long the heater had been running (running time) and how long the flame had been active (burn time) when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.
Measurement range: 0 and upwards.

Power supply, control module, value
The value indicates the power supply to the combustion preheater module (CPM) when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.
Measurement range: 0 V and up.

Operating state, status
The value indicates the operating state of the heater when the diagnostic trouble code was generated.
