DESCRIPTION:

The ABS warning light may be displayed together with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-C003707.

The DTC could be a caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor for the left rear wheel.

On All wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles within the chassis range in the TJ header it is possible that the sensor is installed too deep and the sensor could be contacting the trigger wheel on the drive shaft. See Photo 1 in the attachment.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

The clearance between the sensor and the drive shaft should be 0.99 mm. This was implemented and checked after the chassis range in the TJ header.

MATERIALS

SERVICE:

If there is a customer complaint if fault tracing leads to a faulty speed sensor and if the vehicle is within the chassis range in TJ header then replace the wheel speed sensor and also the rear stay in order to avoid possible repeat repair.

Note!
For vehicles outside of the chassis range in the TJ header follow normal fault tracing and repair information in VIDA.
