The plug has changed.

DESCRIPTION:

A whistling noise may be heard from the rear of the vehicle while driving at speeds above 80 km/h (50 MPH). The customer may believe that the wind noise originates from the luggage compartment but the wind noise may be caused by the two drainage holes in the rear subframe.

Note!
Follow all local traffic laws when road testing!

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

In order to minimize the wind noise the rear subframe will be updated with a new rubber plug after the chassis range in the header.

SERVICE:

Follow the procedure in the attachment.

- Claims may be submitted under the new car warranty when there is a documented customer complaint using claim type: 01

- Labor times are valid at the time of release and are subject to change.

Note!

2. Lift the vehicle on a hoist.





3. Clean any dirt from two drainage holes.





4. Cut the plugs as shown here. The dashed area should be removed.

5. Install one rubber plug in each of the holes mentioned in step 3.

6. Test drive to verify repair.
