Mobility Connection Package (Continued)

Illustrations A and B




- Hook the rear end on the arm rest and route the cable so that all cable excess is at the front edge of the tunnel console.
- Position the connectors and fuse holders so that they do not come into conflict with the holder or become trapped by the rear end.
- Secure the fuse holder at the existing wiring so that it does not come loose.
- Tighten the two screws.






Applies to cars without center loudspeaker grille




- Insert a piece of wire on the left-hand side by the air vent and pull it out down by the tunnel console's left-hand side.
- Tape the cable harness connector and a piece of the cable at the wire. Pull it upwards and out through the hole for the air vent.

Note! Route the cable harness so that there is no risk of wear.




- Route the cable from the holder and connect its connector to the routed cable harness connector.
- Position the entire cable harness underneath the air vent in such a way that it does not get trapped when the air vents are reinstalled.
- Secure the two green connectors using a piece of butyl tape in a suitable place to prevent rattling.




- Push a wire up along the left-hand side of the center console and out on the left-hand side by the air vent.




- Insert the wire through the hole (1) in the recess, where the loudspeaker was, and out.
- Pull the cable up and out through the hole in the recess. Route the cable harness so that there is no risk of wear and that the ventilation vents are not blocked when they are to be reinstalled.




- Take out the short connection cable from the kit and connect to the newly routed cable harness.




- Secure the connected connectors at the bottom of the space where the loudspeaker was, using a piece of butyl tape.




- Connect the connector to the loudspeaker.
- Pull up the connected short cable through the hole in the loudspeaker bracket.




- Reinstall the loudspeaker with its screws.




- Take the loudspeaker grille with holder and connect the routed connector.





Note! Ensure the stud bolts fit in their holes before securing the grille.

- Insert the cable through the hole in the loudspeaker bracket.
- Carefully secure the loudspeaker grille with the holder in the loudspeaker bracket.
- Place all cable excess on top of the air ducts.

Applies to both right and left-hand drive vehicles




- Fold aside the floor mat on the left side of the center console.




- Disconnect the two connectors on the left-hand side of the gear selector assembly. Leave the male connectors in place.




- Take cable harness (A) from the kit. Connect the fiber-optic cable's connectors between those disconnected from the car's cable harness.

Note! Fibre-optic cables may not be bent with a radius less than 25 mm (1").




- Connect the two other connectors between the large connectors that were disconnected.

Applies to left-hand drive cars




- Insert the long fiber-optic cable (1) in front of the air duct and across the center console.
- Position the large loose connectors (2) and the excess of the fiber-optic cables (3) as illustrated.

Note! Fibre-optic cables may not be bent with a radius less than 25 mm (1").

- Fold back the carpet.

Applies to right-hand drive cars




- Position the large loose connectors' (1) and fibre-optic cable (2) excess as illustrated. Route the long fibre-optic cable (3) forward in the car.

Note! Fibre-optic cables may not be bent with a radius less than 25 mm (1").

- Fold back the carpet.

Applies to left-hand drive cars




- Take the cable harness from the kit. Insert the end with the two connectors from the front edge of the tunnel console's right-hand side inside the carpet and back along the inside of the tunnel console.

Applies to right-hand drive cars




- Take the cable harness from the kit. Insert the end with the two connectors from the front edge of the tunnel console's left-hand side inside the carpet and back along the inside of the tunnel console.

Applies to all models




- Lift up the tunnel console at the trailing edge and pull up the connector from the hole in the trailing edge of the storage compartment.




- Route the cable out from the storage compartment. Measure the length of the cable that is to protrude from the bottom of the storage compartment. Ensure that the cable does not chafe against sharp edges or become trapped when the removed components are reinstalled.




- Clamp the cable by the left bracket on the tunnel console with a cable tie when the cable length has been measured.
- Reinstall the center console in its position.




- Take the control module and two pieces of foam tape from the kit.
- Bend the mountings in on the control module.

Illustrations A and B








- Remove the protective film on the foam tape and attach as illustrated.

Applies to left-hand drive cars




- Connect the two connectors to the control module.
- Clamp the USB/iPod cable at the eyelet on the control module using a cable tie.




- Fold the carpet to one side.
- Place the control module high up on the cowl panel and against the right-hand side of the center console.
- Fold back the carpet.

Note! Do not damage the fibre optic cable.

Applies to right-hand drive cars




- Connect the two connectors to the control module.
- Clamp the USB/iPod cable at the eyelet on the control module using a cable tie.




- Fold the carpet to one side.




- Place the control module against the firewall under the cable harness. Secure the control module using a cable tie in the cable harness for the fuse box.




- Route the fiber-optic cable in a loop in front of the climate control unit.

Applies to all models




- Tighten down the tunnel console with the four screws. Make sure that the cable from the USB/iPod adapter does not get caught in the rear bracket when the screws are tightened.
- Reinstall the panels and screws at the rear edge of the tunnel console.
