Fault-Tracing
Fault-tracing
Information
The diagnostic trouble code indicates that the immobilizer codes do not match between Engine control module (ECM) and Brake control module (BCM). The diagnostic trouble code is also generated if CAN-communication between engine control module (ECM) and Brake control module (BCM) is missing.
Among others, the code may be caused by:
- Engine control module (ECM) is not programmed or has incorrect code for immobilizer, that is, the code does not match the code stored in Brake control module (BCM).
- Brake control module (BCM) is not programmed or has incorrect code for immobilizer, that is, the code does not match the code stored in Engine control module (ECM).
- Open circuit on CAN-communication between Brake control module (BCM) and Engine control module (ECM).
- Programmed engine control module (ECM) or Brake control module (BCM) has been moved from one vehicle to another.
Hint: Read out diagnostic trouble codes in brake control module (BCM).
