Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P096162
Condition
Differential Electronic Module (DEM) calculates an expected oil pressure increase in the AOC-unit (the mechanical clutch) during driving. The control module checks how reasonable the oil pressure change is by comparing the calculated value with the signal from the oil pressure sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the oil pressure sensor deviates too much from the predefined value.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 5 minutes.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts when:
- The oil temperature is between 0 and 120 °C.
- Supply voltage does not vary by more than 400 mV.
- The desired value for the current to the control valve/axial solenoid is greater than 100 mA.
- The torque is less than 25 Nm.
- Lateral acceleration is less than 1 m/s2.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is disengaged.
Possible source
- Damaged control valve/axial solenoid.
- Damaged AOC unit (mechanic clutch).
- Oil leakage.
- Damaged Differential Electronic Module (DEM).
