Condition
When the remote key is inserted in the ignition, a switch closes. Start control module (SCU) reads out information from the key and sends it on to Central electronic module (CEM). Central electronic module (CEM) checks the received information from the remote key's ID-number.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The remote key's ID-number is not valid or the received information is not recognized.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Read-out of information from remote key.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
