Calibrating the component




- Ignition off, wait for 10 seconds.
- Ensure that the passenger seat is completely empty.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.

Caution! The passenger seat must be completely empty during calibration. If the passenger seat is not completely empty, the calibration will be incorrect, which will result in incorrect function of the SRS system. If other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the Occupant weight sensor (OWS) are stored, these must be remedied first. Calibration can only be carried out on a fault free Occupant weight sensor (OWS).

Activate calibration of the occupant weight sensor (OWS) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol.





Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.




- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Switch on the ignition. Wait 10 seconds.
Read diagnostic trouble codes by clicking the VCT2000 symbol.
If the fault is intermittent, the fault has been remedied.
