Checking the component and wiring








- Ignition off.
- Unplug the connector for the USB-connection.
Check the cable terminals. Check for contact resistance, loose connections and oxidation.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the voltage supply cables between the Integrated Audio Module (IAM) #D1 and the USB connection #1 with regard to short-circuit to voltage.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Connect a USB memory to the USB connection. Check that the USB connection works.

Does the USB connection work?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
