Removal

Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing. Service and Repair




Install: 999 5545 ADAPTOR 999 5545 Adapter with pressure regulator 999 5544 REGULATOR 999 5544 Regulator on the fresh air hose and tighten the hose clip.

Caution! Remove the oil filler cap.

Checking the air leakage
Connect compressed air hose and adjust the regulator to obtain a pressure of max 0.2 bar. There may be a gentle hissing sound from the oil filler opening. This is due to the opening of an intake valve and the leakage of cylinder pressure past the piston rings. If a leak is suspected, spray a soap solution onto the area. Small bubbles are permissible between throttle body (TB) and intake hose (if made of plastic). No bubbles are permissible with rubber hose.

Rectify any leakage.
