Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The engine control module (ECM) regulates the position of the camshaft (angle) by controlling the camshaft reset valve. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that the control signal for the camshaft rest valve is missing.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- Camshaft control switched off.

Possible source
- Open-circuit on the signal cable.
- Open-circuit on the voltage supply cable.
- Damaged camshaft reset valve

Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- Uneven idle.
- Poor performance.
- The engines cuts out whilst driving.
