INTRODUCTION

Note! When installing the Digital TV receiver on cars with an existing RSE system, start by replacing the tunnel console cable harness for the tunnel console. See the installation instructions: Multimedia monitor with DVD, Dual screen.
Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
- Remove the four screws holding the end of the rear bumper.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Remove the two nuts at the lower edge of the bumper cover.
- Pull the corner straight out, continue to pull the bumper cover backwards until the five clips at the upper edge release.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.
- Open the boot lid/tailgate.
- Remove the bumper cover by pulling it backwards until the three catches opposite the tailgate opening have released.
Note! It is recommended that two people carry out this step to prevent damaging the bumper cover.
- Place the bumper cover on a suitable surface.
- Fold up and fold forward the rear section of the cargo compartment carpet (1).
- Lift out the cargo compartment carpet (2).
- Remove the sill trim panel by first pulling it forward until the clips in the front edge release. Then pull it upward until the clips in the top edge release.
- Remove the seat cushion by pulling it up at the front edge on both sides, it is secured by two holders on the lower side.
- Fold the backrest forward.
- Remove the seatbelt from the guide (1) on the side bolster.
- Insert a hand from the side of the upper section of the side bolster. Press in the catches properly and jerk the upper edge of the bolster so that the two catches on the other side release. Lift the bolster from the mounting at the lower edge.
Remove:
- the clips
- the plastic nuts
- the connector to the cargo compartment lighting
- the side panel
- Unplug connector for 12V outlet, if installed.
Remove:
- the three clips in the top edge of the side panel
- the four plastic nuts at the rear edge of the side panel.
- the connector to the cargo compartment lighting
- Lift out the side panel.
- Remove the left end of the dashboard by first prying it (1) with a weatherstrip tool until the two pawls release, then pull it off backwards (2)
- Remove the sealing strip.

- Pull the sill panel backwards with a weatherstrip tool so that the two clips release.
Note! The front and upper sill panel must be removed and installed as one unit.

- Unhook the panel at the top.

- Pull up so that the four clips release.
- Place the antenna in the casing and place the cable in the slot.
- Snap together the casing's top and bottom part.
- Carried out twice.
- Install the holder cover.
- Carried out twice.
- Press the cover's holder in the support for the tail lamp.
- Carry out the operation on both sides.
- Pull the antenna cable between body and bumper rail, out through the hole and along the bumper rail's outside and in through the hole on the right side.
- Fasten cable tie with clips on the bumper rail.
- Clamp down the cable.
- Install felt tape over the cable.
- Fasten cable tie with clips on the bumper rail.
- Clamp down the cable.
- Screw the TV receiver to the bracket.
- Plug in connectors in order, as shown.
Note! Tighten the nuts on the connectors for the antenna wiring as hard as possible using your fingers, at the same time as holding the black part of the connector still. Then tighten the nuts (3) one turn using a fixed head spanner.
- Secure the wiring with a cable tie.
- Secure the fuse holder and cable harness in the bracket.
- Pull the TV receiver with the two M6 screws to the rear screwed joint and with a washer and nut to the front screwed joint. Tightening torque: 5 Nm.
- Secure the antenna wiring.
- Route the antenna wiring along the existing cable harness and secure with a cable tie.
Applies to cars without a cable harness on the rear crossmember
- Place cable ties with lugs into the four existing holes.
- Secure the antenna wiring with the installed cable ties and with a further two cable ties.
Applies to cars with a cable harness on the rear crossmember
- Secure the antenna wiring to the cable harness using six cable ties, use the cable ties from the cable ties with lugs.
- Remove the support under the right-hand tail lamp by removing the three screws.
- Disconnect any connectors.
Applies to car with parking assistance
- Disconnect the parking assistance connector.
Applies to all models
- Remove the rubber seal.
Applies to car with parking assistance
- Cut away the rubber bushing on the cable harness.
Applies to all models
- Pull out the wiring through the hole under the tail lamp.
- Get new rubber bushing from the kit and open up the rubber bushing with expander pliers.
- Thread the wiring from the antennas through the rubber grommet. Adjust the length to prevent trapping.
Applies to car with parking assistance
- Thread the cable harness through.
- Check that it ends up in its original location.
- Install the cable tie on the rubber grommet.
- Join the antenna wiring with the antennas.
- Pull the antenna wiring in so that the connectors are on the inside of the cargo compartment.
- Reinstall the rubber grommet. Check that the rubber grommet flanges are sealed against the body hole.
- Reinstall the support under the tail lamp.
Applies to car with parking assistance
- Hook the connector onto the support under the tail lamp.
- Reinstall the connector on the parking assistance control module.
- Pull the excess towards the connectors and secure with a cable tie and foam tape.
- Route the cable along the wheel housing. Install cable ties with clips to the panel flange.
- Clamp down the cable.

- Secure the cable with five cable ties.
- Route the cable along the existing cable harness.
- Remove the sealing strips.
- Pull out the B post panel at the lower edge until the two clips release.
- Continue to route the cable harness inside the B-pillar panel and forwards in the car.
- Fold the driver's seat back.
- Fold up the floor carpet under the driver's seat.
- Plug in the connector to the cable harness from the RSE system and press on the connector clips on the panel edge.
- Fasten the cable harness with two cable ties.
- Reinstall removed parts in reverse order. Continue with the installation instructions: Multimedia monitor with DVD, Dual Screen.
