INTRODUCTION

Cupholder in dashboard
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
Note! Wait at least five minutes before disconnecting the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
- Applies to cars with automatic transmissions: Disconnect the battery negative lead.
- Detach the rear edge of the gear selector lever cover together with the boot until the two clips release. Use a plastic weatherstrip tool. Remove the gear selector lever cover and the boot. Pull the panel up until the four clips at the sides release.
- Engage the handbrake and move the gear selector lever towards the rear.
- Rotate the panel to the left for better access.
- Remove the two screws holding the bracket with the radio and dashboard environment panel in the centre console.
- Remove the bracket with dashboard environment panel and the radio from the centre console: Pull the lower edge out and downwards until it releases from the mounting at the upper edge. Then fold backwards.
Note! Do not damage the removed components or the surrounding panels.
If necessary, the panel around the gear lever selector can be removed for additional space. The panel is secured with four catches on the underside along the boot.
- Remove the connectors from the radio and climate control panel.
- Remove the unit.
- Remove the three screws at the upper edge of the surround for the unit and radio and dashboard environment panel.
- Remove the surround from the unit. Pry off the catches along the vertical and lower sides of the surround. Pull off the surround. The catches are thin and are easily broken. Take care.
- Remove the four screws on the reverse of the climate control panel and remove it from the radio and bracket. It is also secured by three hooks along the vertical sides.
- Remove the radio from the unit. Carefully pry off the catches along the vertical sides and then pull straight out. The catches are thin and are easily broken. Take care.
- Remove the storage compartment in the bracket by pressing in the catches on top and underneath and press out. Place to one side, it will not be reused.
- Press the new cup holder into the same place where the storage compartment was. Ensure that the locating pins on the reverse of the cup holder align with the corresponding holes and than the catches on top and underneath engage.
- Reinstall the radio and the climate control panel in the centre console
- Reinstall the surround for the unit.
- Connect all connectors that were disconnected from the radio and climate control panel.
- Reinstall the unit in the centre console. Tighten the centre console. Use the two screws
- Reinstall the panel around the gear selector lever
- Applies to cars with automatic transmissions: Reconnect the battery negative lead.
