Trailer Lighting Module: Service and Repair






Trailer Module (TRM)

Note! The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparatory work

Ignition off




Ignition off.
Fold out the rear right-hand side panel in the cargo compartment. See: Side panel loadspace Side Panel Loadspace.





Note! The trailer module (TRM) is located behind the AM/FM tuner module (AFM) (if applicable) and/or the traffic message channel module (TMC).

Remove:
- the 2 M6 nuts
- the 2 M6 screws.
Move the control modules to one side.

Removal

Removing the trailer module (TRM)





Remove:
- the screw
- the screw together with the nut
- the connector
- the control module.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. [1][2]Specifications

Installing the trailer module (TRM)

Install:
- the control module
- the connector
- the screw together with the nut
- 1 screw.

Finishing

Installing control modules (if applicable)
Install the AM/FM tuner module (AFM) (if applicable) and/or the traffic message channel module (TMC).

Install:
- the 2 M6 nuts
- the 2 M6 screws.

Note! Fiber optics are sensitive to bending and pinching. The bend radius must not be less than 25 mm.

Install the right-hand side panel in the cargo compartment. See: Side panel loadspace Side Panel Loadspace.

Programming the trailer module (TRM)
Program the new control module. See: 30664892.
