Checking the child safety lock, message in the Driver information module (DIM)

Note! Before this symptom troubleshooting is started, check that no relevant trouble codes are stored.

This troubleshooting only applies to vehicles where message about service for child safety lock is shown in the Driver information module (DIM), despite the child safety lock working like it should.
Perform in accordance with:
1. Activate the child safety lock and check that the rear window lifts cannot be operated from the rear doors. If the rear window lifts can be operated from the rear doors, this troubleshooting shall be finished.
2. Download new software to the Driver door module (DDM).
3. Download new software to Passenger door module (PDM).
