Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.







Remove the C-post upper panels.







Special Tool: 951 2925.
















Insert both ends in the screwdriver.










CAUTION: Protect the parcel shelf and the panels using the parabolic chisel or the plastic disc.



















NOTE: Hold the roller secure by hand so that the wire does not spin off.

Installation

The method refers to two different Volvo adhesive kits. The products in the kits must not be blended. See the Volvo Chemical Catalog for further information.

Ensure safety when using adhesive.

Alternative 1:
Use: Adhesive kit, 1161693.
Refer to: Bonded window general, information.

Alternative 2:
Use: Adhesive kit, 1161820.

As described in the instructions below.

Warm the adhesive in the oven for one hour.

Use oven:










Use: Isopropanol, 1161721







NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

CAUTION: Apply abundantly and then wipe dry.

Use: Activator, 1161823 (included in adhesive kit)







CAUTION: Apply abundantly and then wipe dry.

Use application gun:







Mount the windshield within 10 minutes.







Special Tool: 951 2335.

Install the C-pose upper panels.







NOTE: Cure at a minimum temperature of +5 Degrees C, otherwise extra heat must be applied.

Park the car on an even surface.
