DATE: September 6, 2007

MODEL / YEAR: All New S80 /2007 -

CHASSIS 000850 - 043334

SUBJECT:
Buttons Jammed in CD Panel

DESCRIPTION:

Buttons for the Infotainment Control Module (ICM) can become jammed in the CD panel due to the two textile tapes that are attached to the back side. The textile tapes are used to avoid noise from the CD-panel.

From chassis number 043334 a new thinner tape has been introduced that will prevent the ICM buttons from getting jammed.

SERVICE:

The condition is resolved by pushing with both thumbs at the upper corners of the CD panel.

By doing this the textile tape will compress for a better panel fit.
