Power outlet, cargo compartment
INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text section
Power outlet, cargo compartment
Note! Some steps in these installation instructions are presented with illustration only.
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.
Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
- Detach the rubber strip in the cargo compartment opening.

Remove:
- the three clips in the top edge of the side panel
- the three plastic nuts in the lower edge of the side panel
- the connector to the cargo compartment lighting.

- Twist out the rear edge of the panel so that the marking for the hole is accessible.
- Carefully drill up the hole for the power outlet in the lower, rear corner of the panel. The placement of the hole is marked.
- Pre-drill first using -3 mm (1/8") a bit.
- The drill out the hole using a -27 mm (1 1/16") diameter hole saw.
- File out the hole with a round and square file.
- Remove any swarf.
- Take the electrical socket, spacer and nut from the kit.
- Fit and tighten.
Applies to vehicles with pre-routed cable to the power outlet.
- Find the pre-routed cable with the 2-pin connector under the right-hand tail lamp.
- Connect the connector to the power outlet.
Applies to vehicles without a pre-routed cable to the power outlet.

Remove:
- the three clips in the top edge of the side panel.
- the three rear plastic nuts at the rear edge of the side panel.
- the connector to the cargo compartment lighting.

- Twist out the panel to access the tail lamp.
- Take the cable harness out from the kit. Place it along the rear harness with the white connector (1) by the right-hand tail lamp.
- Connect the existing grey 2-pin male connector (1) to the grey 2-pin female connector (2) in the pre-routed cable harness.
- Clamp the excess cable (3) and fuse (3) with cable ties from the kit.
- Connect the ground lead to the existing ground terminal. Tighten the screw. Tighten to 10 Nm (7.5 lb ft).
Applies to cars with parking assistance camera (PAC)
- Disconnect the gray male connector from the control module. Connect it to the 2-pin male connector on the cable harness. Connect the remaining connectors to the control module. Clamp the fuse and any excess cable as previously.
- Clamp the pre-routed cable harness at the existing cable harness with four cable ties from the kit.
If there is no cable harness to secure to, tape up the new cable harness.
- Connect the connector to the power outlet.
- Open the cover of the rear fuse holder.
- Press in the catches at the sides of the fuse module RJB-A (black cover) and pull it out.
- Take the fuse from the kit and install it in position 11.
