- On cars with auxiliary lamps/passenger compartment connector socket, rubber grommets are already installed, remove from the cowl panel.
- Cut off the outermost top on one of the smaller rubber nipples on the rubber grommet.
- Take the long cable harness from the kit and thread the short cable end with the four loose cables into the rubber grommet.
- Take the cable harness and insert the short cable with the rubber grommet into the hole in the cowl panel.
- Press the rubber grommet into the hole.
- Now route the shorter of the cables to the right-hand side, along the edge of the fender liner and along out to the front edge of the sill. The long cable is routed up to the right-hand side of the engine's valve cover.
- Do not press the cable with edge clips in the wheel housing's panel flange yet.
Image A applies to five cylinder engines, image B to six cylinder engines, image C applies to eight cylinder engines
- Now route the remaining cable up towards the engine's valve cover/intake pipe on the right-hand side.
- Route it behind the existing cables and pipes by the cowl panel, up towards and across the valve cover/intake pipes, continue under/along the cables there and down to the left fender liner.
- Clamp as illustrated using two tie straps from the kit. On six cylinder engines, the cable is clamped with five tie straps.
- Pull the cable from the valve cover.
- Now pull the remaining cable end in the same way as the other, along the panel edge on the wheel housing and out to the front edge of the sill.
- Do not press the cable with edge clips in the wheel housing's panel flange yet.
- Open the catches on the two green five pin male and female connectors.
- Connect the two five pin connectors to the loose cable ends by the rubber grommet:
Note! The numbers that indicate the different positions are on one side of the connector where the cables go in and are extremely small so take care when reading them off.
- Pos 2 Red (R) cable
- Pos 4 Black (SB) cable
- Close the connector's catches.
- Connect the connector (1) in the cable from the rubber grommet to the corresponding connector (2) from the courtesy lighting.
