Emergency opening luggage compartment lid

Removal

Disconnecting emergency opening handle and removing components




Disconnect the emergency opening handle from the trunk lid panel.
Press out the pin locking the cable.
Unhook the cable.

Remove:
- the trunk lid panel. See: Panel, luggage compartment lid
- the connector for the lock mechanism
- the 3 screws
- the lock mechanism.

Installation

Installing emergency opening handle and components





Install:
- the lock mechanism
- the 3 M8 screws. Tighten
- the connector for the lock mechanism.
Mount the trunk lid panel in position.
Thread the cable through the hole in the panel.





Install:
- the cable for the emergency opening handle
- the pin
- the luggage compartment lid panel. See: Panel, luggage compartment lid .
Press the emergency opening handle into place on the trunk lid panel.
