Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PHM-B116B15
Condition
The Phone module (PHM) checks the loudspeaker signal from the handset.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal voltage is above 4.5 V.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position I and II.
- Battery voltage between 9 - 16 V.
Substitute value
- Only hands-free operates.
Possible source
- The cable for the speaker signal, between the handset and the control module, has a short-circuit to supply voltage or open-circuit.
Fault symptom[s]
- The handset does not function.
- Message in the text display (applies only to phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call).
