Condition
The Phone module (PHM) checks the collision signal from the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Signal voltage is above 3.25 V.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Battery voltage between 9 - 16 V.

Possible source
- The cable for the collision signal, between the Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) and the Phone module (PHM), has a short-circuit to supply voltage or open circuit.
