Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information






Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-B102682

Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) continuously checks communication with Steering column lock module (SCL). To check communication, a sequential number is added to the messages that Central electronic module (CEM) sends to Steering column lock module (SCL). Steering column lock module (SCL) must answer the received messages in the order that they were received.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Message from Steering column lock module (SCL) is missing sequence number.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- None.

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the terminals.
- Loose connections.
- Internal fault in the steering column lock module (SCL).
- Internal fault in the central electronic module (CEM).
