Checking Impact Status

It may occur that the Central electronic module (CEM) incorrectly perceives that the vehicle's impact protection has been activated, without that being the case. This means that Central electronic module (CEM) does not allow operation of the fuel pump in ignition position II, and does not allow start of parking-/auxiliary heater.

Correct function is returned by resetting impact status in Central electronic module (CEM).

- Click the VCT2000 symbol to read off the value. If the value is "Airbag deployed", reset shall be performed.
- Click on Restore if the value is to be changed.
- Read and then delete all diagnostic trouble codes for Engine control module (ECM) (when other troubleshooting is done). Use function in VIDA/DIAGNOSTICS/DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES.

NOTE: It is important to reset impact status for Engine control module (ECM).

- Then turn off the ignition and wait for at least 2 minutes. Turn on the ignition again and check the function.
