Adjusting the front bumper cover

Special tools:
951 2842 Hot glue gun 951 2842 Hot Glue Gun

Note! This adjustment must always be carried out on both sides of the car.

Detaching and cleaning the bumper cover








Slacken off the fender liner at the front edge. Bend the fender liner so that the upper inner corner of the bumper is accessible.
Clean the shaded area in the illustration thoroughly. Use white spirit. (The illustrations display the inside of the bumper).
Thoroughly clean using Cleaner-H.

Bonding the bumper cover




Bond the shaded surfaces displayed in the illustrations.
Bond according to the upper illustration. Cover the corner using adhesive so that strands from washing brushes do not jam between the components.
Press the corners of the bumper into place. Secure for a short time until the adhesive has cured.

Hint: Work quickly so that the adhesive does not cool before the bumper cover is secured.

Quickly wipe clean any visible hot adhesive.
