Connecting the breakout box

Special tools:

General information
Check that the male and female terminals on the connectors are undamaged and secure (cannot be pressed in). Check that the cables to the female terminals are secured to the terminal pins.
The breakout box is designed to facilitate reading off the control module input and output signals when the control module is connected. The breakout box is designed to facilitate reading off the cable and component resistance when the control module is disconnected. The use of a breakout box reduces the risk of accidental short-circuited cables and damage to the connector pins.

Connecting the breakout box
- Ignition off
- Remove the fuses
- Central electronic module (CEM), replacing Central Electronic Module (CEM), Replacing
Connect breakout box 951 1428 Breakout box 951 1428 Breakout Box to the adapter.

Central electronic module (CEM)
- Connect adapter 951 2971 CEM/REM adapter 951 2971 CEM/REM Adapter to the control module connectors A, B, C and D
- For connector A, terminals #A1-#A32 correspond to terminals #1-#32 on the breakout box
- For connector B, terminals #B1-#B32 correspond to terminals #1-#32 on the breakout box
- For connector C, terminals #C1-#C36 correspond to terminals #1-#36 on the breakout box
- For connector D terminals #D1-#D60 correspond to terminals #1-#60 on the breakout box.

Note! Before the control module can be checked and measurements taken, the removed fuses must first be installed.
