Antenna - Keyless Entry: Service and Repair






Antennas keyless vehicle module (KVM)

Note! The illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models. Some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparatory work

Ignition off




Ignition off.

Hint: There are a total of eight antennas. Four are positioned along the center of the vehicle and four in the door handles.

Method content

This method consists of:

Antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) front, replacing

Removing the front antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM)





Remove:
- the center console. See: Floor console Floor Console
- the 2 nuts
- the antenna
- the connector.

Installing the front antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM)

Install:
- the connector
- the antenna
- the 2 nuts
- the center console. See: Floor console Floor Console

Antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) reverse center console, replacing

Removing the antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) reverse center console





Remove:
- left-hand front seat. See: Front seat Front Seat
- the cigarette lighter/electrical socket rear. See: Power socket 12V Power Socket 12V
- the bracket for the control module, 2 nuts.
Push the carpet to one side.

Remove:
- the connector
- the antenna
- the 2 clips.

Installing the antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) reverse center console





Install:
- the connector
- the antenna
- the 2 clips
Fold back the carpet.

Install:
- the bracket for the control module, 2 x nuts
- the cigarette lighter/electrical socket rear. See: Power socket 12V Power Socket 12V
- left-hand front seat. See: Front seat Front Seat

Remove:
- the parcel shelf. See: Parcel shelf Service and Repair
- the connector.
- 4 rivets. See: Removing rivets
- the antenna.

Install:
- the antenna
- 4 rivets
- the connector
- the parcel shelf. See: Parcel shelf Service and Repair.

Antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) bumper bracket, replacing

Removing the antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) bumper bracket





Remove:
- the casing for the rear bumper. See: Cover bumper rear Service and Repair
- the antenna, fold out the catches at the lower edge
- the connector.

Installing the antenna keyless vehicle module (KVM) bumper bracket

Install:
- the connector
- the antenna, fold out the catches at the lower edge
- the casing for the rear bumper. See: Cover bumper rear Service and Repair
