Removal

Removing the lock mechanism

Open the tailgate

Remove:





- the tailgate panel.
- the connector for the lock mechanism.

HINT: Press the connector using a screwdriver to disconnect it.

Remove the 3 screws

Installation

NOTE: For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque. Specifications

Installing lock mechanism

Install:
- the lock mechanism
- the 3 M8 screws. Tighten
- the connector
- the tailgate's panel, see: Tailgate/trunk lid panel.
