No Start and Multiple DTC's Alarm Triggers when Opening Door

REFERENCE:

DESCRIPTION:

A CEM (Central Electronics Module) SW bug has been found that may cause the CEM to not wake up after sleep mode intermittently.

The symptoms are as follows:

^ Remote controls will not work and if the car is equipped with Keyless drive (KVM), the alarm will trigger when you enter the car.

^ Car is totally dead.

^ No Crank/No start.

^ Not possible to communicate with the car via VIDA

A battery reset will recover all functions. After the battery reset is performed, there will be multiple network communication DTCs posted in many nodes as a result of the CEM not waking up (no CEM communication). See next page for an example of DTCs for a typical case.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

A new CEM SW was introduced in production from Chassis number 48000. The new CEM SW is available as a service fix.

SERVICE:

Perform a CEM SW upgrade p/n 30786042.
