Condition




The oil level sensor is housed in the oil pan and sends information on engine oil level and quality to the engine control module (ECM). The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the engine control module (ECM) detects disruptions in the oil level signal or that there are many oil level changes.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed during a road test when a number of different criteria (engine speed, vehicle speed, etc) have been fulfilled.

- Nothing.

Possible source
- Rapid oil level change (oil leak).
- Loose connections, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections.
- Damaged oil level sensor.
