Checking the status




- Start the engine.
- A/C on.
Read the diagnostic status and trouble status for the diagnostic trouble code by selecting the diagnostic trouble code in the list.
Check if the malfunction is permanent or intermittent by reading off the diagnostic trouble code's status when the diagnostic status is "Implemented".
If the trouble status is "Malfunction found", this indicates that the malfunction is permanent. If the trouble status is "No malfunction found", this indicates that the malfunction is intermittent and not active right now.

Note! Trouble status cannot go from "Malfunction found" to "No malfunction found" in the same operating cycle.

- Ignition off
Check the signal cables for short-circuit to voltage, short-circuit to ground, and open circuit.
Check between:
- Engine control module (ECM) #A49 (#A49) and the control valve's (solenoid's) connector #2, signal cable (+).

Hint: The control valve with solenoid is located on the underside of the A/C compressor.

Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After repairing, it is necessary to check that the malfunction has been fixed.








- Ignition off
- Reconnect the connectors, components, etc.
- Ignition on
- Read the diagnostic status and trouble status for the diagnostic trouble code by selecting the diagnostic trouble code in the list.
Check the trouble status for the diagnostic trouble code when the diagnosis is "Implemented". When the function is correct the trouble status should be "No malfunction found" when the diagnosis is implemented.
