Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

The engine control module (ECM) regulates the camshaft position (angle position) and checks that the requested position has been achieved. If the control module detects a difference between the requested position and the actual position, the time taken for regulation to achieve the requested position is measured. The length of time permitted to achieve the requested position varies depending on how much the camshaft is to be deflected at that moment. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control module detects that regulation is too slow during intake camshaft deflection.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the engine is at operating temperature, engine speed exceeds a certain value and camshaft regulation is active.
