Boot, gear selector, replacing

Removal

Removing the gear selector knob
Remove the gear selector knob as. See: Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacement Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacing (V70) or Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacing Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacing (S60).

Removing the top panel




Press in the catches. Angle up the panel at the front edge.
Lift the panel out of the rear mountings.

Removing the boot from the top panel




Press out the 4 catches from the top panel. Remove the boot.

Installation

Installing a new boot

Install the new boot
Press the catches for the boot into place in the top panel.

Installing the top panel




Angle the panel downwards. Press the top panel into place in the centre console.
Install the panel (the pen holder) between the centre console and the dashboard.

Installing the gear selector knob
Install the gear selector knob. See: Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacement Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacing (V70) or Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacing Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacing (S60).
